Community Justice Director - $86,173 - $103,888 Annually - Yamhill County is seeking a Community Justice Director with a proven history of working with adult and juvenile offenders and programs who conveys the principles of personal responsibility, ethics, teamwork and reformation within the context of public safety. Duties include supervision, direction, and management of parole and probation, work release, pretrial services, day management, juvenile probation, juvenile detention, juvenile community service, volunteer services, and county parks and work crew program. Proven experience in budget preparation and administration, policy development, strategic planning, and operations. The Director will also be responsible for implementation of legislatively mandated evidence-based practices and innovative pre-trial programs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social sciences, public administration, criminology, psychology, law enforcement, or a related field and five years’ experience in corrections at the management/executive level. Basic certification as a Parole & Probation Officer from the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) is required within 18 months of appointment.
