Job Description:

This position is responsible for responding to fire/medical emergency calls for protection of life and property and to control/extinguish fires, performing search and rescue, and providing advances life support to sick/injured persons. Provides advanced emergency medical care to sick or injured persons which may include providing advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, basic trauma life support, pediatric care, obstetrical care, advanced airway management or drug treatments. Provides advanced level of care for victims of cardiac or respiratory arrest. Provides fluid resuscitation by IV. Manages trauma injuries, bleeding, and post-traumatic shock. Administers injections of medications and drugs including drugs to treat emergency cardiac conditions. Performs invasive and non-invasive procedures on patients with life-threatening conditions, per established procedures or as authorized/directed by physicians. High school diploma or GED is required. Must pass a physical agility test and aptitude test. Must be at least 18 years of age.Valid Driver’s License is required.
