City of Cleveland, GA is seeking to hire a qualified City Administrator.
The City Administrator’s office provides centralized direction and leadership for the effective administration and operation of all municipal services for the city as directed by the Mayor and City Council. The City Administrator’s office prepares and submits to the Mayor and City Council a balanced plan for the municipal services in adherence to the policy goals and objectives established by the Mayor and City Council while employing such managerial techniques as needed to assure efficient and effective utilization of the city’s resources and services.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include a comprehensive knowledge of governmental administrative principals and the function of and interrelationship of all city departments.

Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration, or a closely related field and five years’ experience as a municipal administrator or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible government experience. Proven leadership ability and experience in project oversight, staff supervision, and problem solving; working knowledge and experience in municipal finance; community relations, economic development and comprehensive planning; good interpersonal and organizational skills; decisive and responsive.
