The City of Marlow seeks a Fire Chief for the paid/combination fire department. The chief oversees three (3) full-time paid firefighters and up to 20 volunteers working within a 24-hour system. The successful candidate must have a proven record illustrating skills in employee relations, training, administration, leadership, supervisory and budgetary management. The successful candidate must have a strong background of integrated fire ground operations and EMS service. Candidates shall have a minimum of seven (7) years within the fire service and three (3) years of progressive supervisory experience and will be required to live within the Marlow fire district. Candidates shall be certified at a level of Firefighter II, EMT-Basic and Fire Instructor II. Candidates shall be participating in the Oklahoma State Firefighters Pension & Retirement System or be able to meet entrance requirements.
