TOWN OF BERTHOUD • COLORADO Seeks a TOWN ADMINISTRATOR (Starting salary range is negotiable and competitive from the low to mid $100K range DOE with excellent benefits) Berthoud, “The Garden Spot of Colorado,” is strategically located along Interstate 25, 40 minutes north of Denver and 20 minutes south of Fort Collins in the heart of the Fort Range Urban Corridor. Other nearby communities include Loveland and Longmont. Residents and visitors enjoy small town amenities and charm coupled with easy access to all the shopping, dining, medical service, culture and outdoor recreation of northern Colorado. Berthoud is situated just north of the Little Thompson River in Larimer and Weld counties. Higher education is readily available at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, University of Colorado in Boulder, Northern Colorado University in Greeley, Front Range Community College with Berthoud, Colorado campuses in Longmont and Fort Collins, and Aims Community College. Berthoud continues to rapidly grow and develop, from a population of 2,990 (1990); to 4,839 (2000); 5,105 (2010) to today’s estimated 6,031. Berthoud residents are educated and actively involved in the community. The Town has several annual events including Berthoud Day in June, Oktoberfest, Arbor Day, Berthoud Outdoor Quilt and Craft Show, Berthoud Annual Golf Tournament and a Farmer’s Market every Saturday in the summer months. The Berthoud Historical Society manages two museums, the Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum and the McCarty- Fickle Home. The Town offers ten parks in various stages of development, with a skate park, baseballs and soccer fields, outdoor basketball courts, sand volleyball courts and a swimming pool. The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, political science, finance, engineering or a related field. A minimum of five years managerial service in a municipality, county, not for profit organization, or private sector business, or a combination of these experiences, is sought. The Town Board of Trustees is open to candidates from any region of the country with the requisite skills and qualifications.
