POSITION:     FIREFIGHTER/ EMT, AEMT OR PARAMEDIC

                               FIRE DEPARTMENT

WAGE:              Commensurate with certifications. See attached.                

SUMMARY: 

The Bedford, NH Fire Department has current opening(s) for the position of Firefighter - EMT, AEMT or Paramedic

TYPICAL DUTIES – 

• Respond to fire and medical emergencies.
• Drive and operate emergency apparatus.
• Inventory and maintain all apparatus and equipment in a constant state of readiness.
• Participate in fire prevention and risk reduction activities.
• Participate in regular training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPAT certification or eligible for lateral transfer
• Firefighter I certification, (Firefighter 2 preferred)
• Paramedic certification only (No firefighter 1) can be considered.
• NREMT EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)

Qualified candidates will be expected to successfully pass the department oral board, acrophobia test, and Chief’s interview to be considered eligible.
