The Town of Raymond Fire Department is now accepting applications from highly motivated, forward-thinking, individuals who exemplify teamwork to fill an immediate full-time Firefighter position. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to response to fire and medical emergencies, operating department apparatus, performing fire and life safety inspections, and inspection and maintenance of department equipment.  The successful candidates will work under the general supervision of the command staff. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to work as a teammate or independently. The selected candidate will work a forty-eight (48) hour week consisting of two twenty-four (24) hour shifts including weekends and holidays. The Raymond Fire Department covers twenty-nine square miles with a full-time population of 10,903 residents. Operating out of a single station, response apparatus includes three engines, a tanker, aerial platform, rescue, forestry units, and a boat.

Minimum Qualifications

NH Firefighter Level II; NH CDL-B (within six months of hire); Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician; Successful completion of required entrance testing (CPAT) for full-time firefighters (Per 701.01). Lateral transfer candidates (eligible pursuant to Administrative Rules FIRE 703.01) are encouraged to apply. The selected candidate must pass a background investigation (including a satisfactory driving history) and a pre-employment NFPA 1582 physical.
