The Opportunity
 
This position is responsible for responding to requests for emergency assistance and performing fire prevention inspections. The position generally functions at the task level to stabilize emergency incidents and enforce municipal fire prevention ordinances.  The position requires extensive training in the operation and maintenance of motorized fire apparatus, hand tools, and power equipment.  Performance of assigned duties will often occur in hazardous settings under a wide range of environmental conditions.
