The Red Wing Fire Department is seeking qualified applicants for Paid-On-Call Firefighters to join the department.
This position performs emergency work in the protection of life and property from fire and other hazards, the operation of the Fire Department vehicles, the treatment of emergency medical problems and emergency rescue, and other duties as may be assigned.
On an on-call basis, performs emergency work in the protection of life and property from fire and other hazards and the operation of Fire Department and ambulance vehicles.
The hours expectations mandated annually for this position are 60 hours of training (72 hours offered), responding to 33% of paged calls and may require a minimum of 96 hours of station time up (8 hours/month) to a maximum of 288 hours (24 hours/month).
